      • Select the desired build configurations and events on which you want to be notified.

The Notifier Icon

The Notifier icon appears in Windows System Tray as soon as you launch the Windows Tray Notifier. It shows the status of projects which you (or your TeamCity Administrator) have selected to monitor. The status icon changes to reflect the state of watched projects and build configurations. Here is a list of possible states of the build configurations.

Icon Meaning

Build is successful
Build failed and nobody has taken responsibility

Some team member has taken responsibility for the build failure
The person responsible for the build failure has submitted a fix, but the build has not executed successfully yet

Build configuration is paused, and builds are not triggered automatically

The Notifier icon always shows the status of the last completed build of the your watched project or build configurations, unless you selected Notify when the first error occurs on the Windows Tray Notifier settings page. In this case, the Notifier icon does not wait for the failing build to finish, it displays a failed icon as soon as the running build fails a test.

The TeamCity Quick View Window

A click on the status icon opens the TeamCity Quick View window.

Click the results or changes links to navigate to the Build Results and Changes pages in TeamCity's web interface, respectively.

Windows Tray Popup Alerts

Windows tray popup alerts display brief build results information for the specified build configurations and notification events.

Click the link on the popup to go the build results page for more details.
