 Description  « Hide
In order to get an accurate picture of what truly remains alive in memory it is useful to be able to force a Garbage Collection. This could be done from the Control Profilling Window when Memory Profiling is Active.

This would help, for example, with those cases where you see an object in Class List or Namespace tree, then show it in its own tab, and select one of the Root Path options. dotTrace reports "There is no root path to display for this object. The object is not held in memory strongly..."

Forcing a Garbage collection before doing a memory dump would make all such objects dissapear from the Namespace tree.
