It should be possible to use Quick Definition Lookup (Ctrl+Shift+I) inside the Show Usages (Ctrl+Alt+F7) dialog

Component/s: Code Navigation

Build: 7,111
Severity: Medium

 Description  « Hide
The one line of code shown in the Show Usages dialog is sometimes not enough context. It should be possible to use Quick Definition Lookup to see more of the code. (It should also be possible to use the Forward/Back buttons in the Lookup dialog - see [IDEA-14112].)

Another way, maybe even better, would be to show more lines using Overview beside Detail pattern. Have a Detail view in the bottom of the Show Usages dialog, which would show the lines surrounding the found usage. The found usage should be highlighted in the Detail view.

Good idea. Indeed, I've wished for Ctrl-Shift-I to work sometimes when using Ctrl-Alt-F7.
