Autoscroll in "Maven Build Output"- and Run-Window

It would be nice to have a way to set the various output windows to autoscroll.

At best like its in MacOS X' Terminal.app. Terminal.app scrolls with the output until I drag the Scroll slider and scroll up. Then it stops scrolling and holds the position. When I drag down the scroll slider to the bottom again, the it attaches to the and and starts scrolling down when output is generated by the current program.

It would be really nice to have this for the various output-genreating windows.

I think I had this before in IDEA, but I could be wrong.

It would be alos nice if could set the scollback buffer of those windows to a higher value since my logs sometimes scroll out at the top.

The autoscroll works if your caret is exactly at the end of the output. To set the buffer size, go to Settings | General | Limit run/debug consoles output to...

How do I keep the Caret at the end of the buffer?

It stays there for some time and scrolls for one line and then goes up one line and stops scrolling.

When I get it back to the last line it keeps wandering up one line and stops scrolling.

I am using MacOS X 1.4.10 and Java (build 1.5.0_06-112)

Thanks for the hint to the config!
