I just upgraded from 5.x to 7.x, and the biggest feature I miss from 5.x is the ease with which I could look at the details of changes that I'd just synched after an "Update Project...". In 5.x I could right-click on any of the "Updated" files in the list and do a "Show History", then diff the last version(s). In 7.x, the only option in the right-click menu is "Delete". The only way to see the recent changes, I think, is to double-click on the file and use the right-click menu in the editor.
