The problem arises in our project when when opening the run configuration screen BEFORE we have opened up the maven projects pane the first time. If we don't open up the pane before entering the configuration screen the first time the whole right side of dialog is empty and can therefore not be changed. Fix is to open the maven projects pane once everytime the project has been reloaded/started
