I had three projects open, A, B & C. From the command line, I p4 sync'ed a number of jar files visible only to Project A to an earlier version From the command line, I copied those jar files into a directory visible only to Project B. After doing this, IDEA is completely unresponsive. No CPU usage, no I/O. Thread stack dump attached.
