The "middle mouse" copy/paste feature in linux does not always work when copying from IDEA. In IDEA when you select the text using the mouse, the copy then works properly. However if you select the text using the keyboard (i.e. SHIFT+RIGHT CURSOR, or CTRL+A) there is then no possible way to copy the text into another application.
