Problem: ======= On day X you have a long chat with somone, and can see the whole history. The next day you come in, and the history is pane is completely empty. The full history is stored in $HOME$/.IntelliJ6/system/talk – it hasn't been deleted. Furthermore, searching for nothing counter-intuitively brings up the entire history (which could be a Gig after a few years). Proposed Solution: =============== Both Trillian (www.trillian.cc) and Yahoo Messenger have good UIs for searching and browsing past chat histories; IntelliJ should implement something like them.
