 Description  « Hide
It appears when doing various find commands, the files being edited become locked. Initially, the only solution was to restart IDEA, but I discovered the problem was related to there not being a close icon on the find occurrences window. The solution was to click the rerun icon until the close icon appears, then the files became editable again.

Locked? Do you mean on operating system level so you cannot, for instance, delete them externally?

No, I mean I am prevented from editing any files in the IDEA editor. I can click the file, but I am not presented with a cursor. I can not
insert or delete characters. When this happens, it is always after I have done a Find Usages, or a Find in Path. When I look down at the Find results pane, I see a Rerun icon (among others) but no Close icon. I must click the rerun icon usually 2 or more times before the Close icon appears. When this icon appears, my editor files are editable again. This problem occurs at least once a day.
