In tools -> checkout project, Instead of specify a branch in the repository, the application should be able to list the available branch in the "Repository Structure", for example

This is really something which should be improved. Checking out a specific branch or tag is nothing very common, so it doesn't make sense to create a specific CVS configuration for it.
