Every time somebody else on my team deletes a file from VSS, Idea does not notice it.
Eventually I experience compile errors due these outdated sources.

I am changing an issue type to "New feature". I do not know of any VSS client which does that.

We will try to address this in Selena, although I am not sure the solution will be perfect

I know only one other VSS client, which is this eclipse plugin (everybody else on the team is using eclipse):

Sure enough this plugin supports detection of deleted files.
