Once an EAR module is configured in IDEA and a Web module is added to it the Web module becomes unavailable for any run configurations for debugging under a local copy of Tomcat. This is a real problem for applications that need to deploy in both EAR files and WAR files depending on the target environment. We now have to add and remove the Web Module from the EAR configuration 2-3 times an hour along with re-configuring it under the Tomcat configuration each time since it is removed automatically. I don't remember this behaviour in earlier versions and it is causing real problems for our workflow.
