When the "Run Maven goal" option is selected in the "Before launch" section of the "Run/Debug Configuration" dialog, there is no indication in IDEA that the goal is running, nor does it provide any feedback as to what went wrong if an error occurs. If an error does occur, the application will not launch, and the Maven build output does not show any results.
