It's not consistent, but one way to try to repro - set 'Autoscroll from source' enabled, close the project toolwindow, navigate to a number of different files, then reopen the project toolwindow. Selection in (project) tree is not correct.

I'm thinking of switching over from Eclipse (currently using Windows XP-SP2) and this issue is driving me batty. It takes me seconds to re-orient myself every time I look at the files in the project view and its very disorienting when it doesn't sync with my current working file. I know it may seem like a minor issue, but it really causes me a headache and makes it hard to fairly evaluate IDEA when I'm cursing it every time I open the project window

I've voted, watching and hoping this is fixed quick so I can continue eval without losing much time.

Thanks!

Mark

This is marked as Low priority, but I find it pretty troublesome. I have relied on this feature of IDEA for years...please fix!!

Thanks,

Jeff

I agree... it's one of those many small regressions that makes 7 feel both flaky, and less pleasurable to use. My tool should be ahead of me, not lagging behind so that I'm always having to check it's up to date.
