Description

« Hide

Open the attached XML file in IDEA and then open the Structure View. Turn off both Autoscroll options and then expand the second, third or fourth level1 node. Notice that the first level1 node is expanded as well. Notice that expanding an exposed level2 node will expand the level2 node of the first level1 node as well.

Any word on when this bug will be fixed? I still see it in IDEA 5.0.2, build #3542.

I still see this bug in IDEA 5.1.1 build #4192. It's really annoying and I'm puzzled as to why it hasn't been fixed yet. It surely can't be that difficult and it makes the structure view very hard to use for XML files.

I filed ~~IDEA-6384~~ which probably is the same issue. And you're right, it is annoying, though not nearly as annyoing as the lack of communication you find here at times.
