See screenshot. Red color underline for areas completely equal for current scope. It can be collapsed.
Also areas with green and yellow underline, but i'm not sure about it.

I'm not sure what do you mean by 'collapse'? Where do you suggest to show that collapsed path? Or you suggest to drop it off at all?

collapse - just replace red underlined text by (...) with tooltip, where expanded path displaed. Like expand/collapse code in Editor.

Well, we can use the same logic we use for main frame caption. There should be no tooltips of course - that's too complex and counter intuitive.
