IDEA-8365 Inspections: Cannot change inspections Resolved

Build: 5,557
Fixed in build: 5,562
Severity: High

 Description  « Hide
I'm trying to disable the Structural Search inspection, but I'm unable to do that.
Whenever I click Apply, the Structural Search inspection gets enabled.
Unchecking Structural Search inspection doesn't enable the Apply button.

Only by removing the templates from the Selected templates box on Structural Search
inspection was I able to disable the Structural Search inspection.

But how do you perform disabling?
Thank you.

Mikael Karlsson - 24 Jul 06 17:17
The normal way.

Open Settings dialog, open Errors dialog, locate Structural Search inspection in tree, unmark check box.

If there are templates in the Selected templates list in the Structural Search inspection Options panel then
unmarking the check box doesn't enable the Apply button in the Errors dialog.

Unchecking another element, e.g. Redundant throws declaration, does enable the Apply button.
Clicking the Apply button enables Structural Search inspection again.

If I remove all templates from the Selected templates list in the Structural Search inspection Options panel
then unmarking the check box does enable the Apply button in the Errors dialog.
Clicking the Apply button now leaves Structural Search inspection disabled, as expected.

To summarize, the Structural Search inspection cannot be disabled if it has selected templates.
