We are working with a solution that has 140 projects in it. When opening the project through Visual Studio 2008 File->Open menu item the IDE will hang and not recover. When opening the project through Windows Explorer it is possible to navigate and begin using the IDE. The RGreatEx plugin will function but expierences some issues that need attention. When selecting the function "Move string to resource" the dialog box will appear and we can successfully enter our resource name and create a new resource string in the specified resource file. When we reach the second dialog indicating which strings we would like to replace with the resource reference we are returned a list containing only the item "No Strings". The RGreatEX plugin does not seem to search the solution or even the current file at all for strings; even though we just selected a string to replace. If we try to build the entire solution the IDE hangs once again and becomes non-responsive indefinately. This is also the case with a Clean operation. A "Delay Notification" icon appears in the task bar indicating that the IDE is waiting for something, but we cannot interact with the icon at all. After unistalling the RGreatEx plugin all the described hang-ups cannot be reproduced. Smaller solutions do not appear to generate the same kind of response from the plugin.
