The Resharper/Show Tips modal window is basically useless, especially for users just getting started. In particular, its hard to re-train keyboard shortcuts without contstantly consulting either the Resharper menu, or the VS keyboard binding.
2 enhancements could be:
- Make the window dockable, so it can remain visible (like the Properties pane), showing a set of standard tips as it does now
- Keyboard-reminders, possibly based on a standard list of most-used actions.
- these could be trimmed, based on the number of times the user has actually used the keyboard shortcut
- "Context-sensitive" tips – since the "lightbulb" is showing up in the code window, it would be nice to show the same in the tips window, but actually listing the direct keyboard shortcut actions for the suggestions.
